Location: From the city of Kamloops travel north on Hwy. #5 (Yellowhead Hwy.). Turn west (left) onto the Darlington Creek Forest Service Road, located about 16 km. (10 mi.) past the community of Barriere. Follow this road and at 6.3 km. (3.9 mi.) take the left fork of the road. Continue on and at 23.2 km. (14.4 mi.) you will come to Caverhill Lake parking lot.

Fishing Report: Caverhill Lake provides a fast action Rainbow fishery with trout reaching into the 2 lb. range. Due to its lack of abundant aquatic insect life, the most popular method of fishing is trolling small lures, flatfish and spinning gear.

Akehurst Lake - Akehurst is a large lake, situated just west of Caverhill. It has 1 resort offering cabins, boats and prepared meals. Many smaller hike-in lakes such as Bramon, Malcolm, Patrick, and Triangle, just to mention a few can be found nearby to Caverhill. Excellent choices from which to tune-up your fly fishing techniques. These lakes offer fine, fast action, small Rainbow fishing and can be accessed via the Caverhill Lake Resort. See also Bare Lake and Gorman Lake.
