Location: 10 km (6 mi) northwest of Nanaimo city centre. Follow Metral Drive to Godfrey Road and posted signs to the lake.

Resorts & Campsites: Accomadation and other facilities are available in nearby Nanaimo. A boat launch is provided at the lake.

Fishing Report: The annual stocking of cuttroat and rainbow provide good fishing for species of up to 2.3 kg (5 lb). Kokanee are resident in the lake. Angling is particularily productive during March-June and September-October.

Nearby Lakes

Green Lake - Green is a small lake which is stocked with trout and provides a good opportunity for smallmouth bass, particularily during the spring and fall months.

Long Lake - Long Lake is located 6.5 km (4 mi) northwest of Nanaimo off of the Island Highway. The lake is home to rainbow, cutthroat and smallmouth bass.

Diver Lake - The small Diver Lake contains numerous cutthroat and rainbow trout and is located 6.5 km (4 mi) northwest of Nanaimo via Bowen and Labieux roads.

Westwood Lake - Westwood is a popular lake stocked with rainbow and cutthroat trout. Access is via Jingle Pot Road and Westwood Lake road 5 km (3 mi) west of Nanaimo city centre.
