Kimberley, BCKimberley, BC

The Highest City in Canada

This Bavarian-inspired city has charming tole-painted accents, shuttered windows and gaily painted facades.

Along the Platzl, an esplanade punctuated with picturesque shops, hanging baskets and hand-painted fire hydrants, a life-sized Happy Hans emerges hourly from his room atop the world's largest Cuckoo Clock.

Scenic biking and hiking paths thread through Kimberley Nature Park. The Mark Creek Nature Trail leads to Marysville Falls, a 100' cascade of water over rocks worn smooth.

The chairlift at North Star Mountain offers unrivalled views of the Rocky Mountains.

The community of Kimberley is located in the BC Rockies region on Highway 95A, 32 km. north of Cranbrook.
