Resorts & Campsites: BCFS recreation sites are available at the lake as well as nearby Alexander Falls. There is also a boat launch at the lake site.

Fishing Report: The average size of the Rainbows is usually 1/2-1 lb., but can reach over 2 lbs. Glacial silt and mud may be carried into the lake during the spring run off making the water a bit murky for a short time. Gammarus shrimp along with good numbers of Chironomids can be found in the lake.
Be sure to visit Fishbc.com for angling information!

Viewscape: Three sides of the lake are steep slopes forested with Western and Mountain hemlock, Red and Yellow cedar and Amabilis fir. This is a very beautiful lake with clear water, bright green meadows with numerous wild flowers and a tree line that is not too far from the lake after which you can view the rocky alpine slopes and snow fields.

Shoreline: Glacial erosion has formed this large deep lake and many areas have very sharp drop offs. The treed shoreline of hemlock and cedar is interspersed with a fringe of shrubs, heather and alder.

Nearby Lakes

Madely Lake - Madely Lake, can be reached via a branch road north (right) off the road to Callaghan Lake. It is a small lake which supports good numbers of small Rainbows up to 1 lb.

Note: Always check your current BC Fishing regulations before you start fishing a new lake.
